Affiliate disclosure
Play Review Bureau earns revenue through affiliate marketing. When you click a "Visit" link on this site and subsequently register an account with an operator, that operator pays us a commission. This is standard practice for comparison and review websites covering financial products and gambling services.
How affiliate links work
Operator links on this site contain tracking parameters (such as ?btag=, &affid=, or &clickid=). These identifiers tell the operator that a new player was referred by this site. The operator then pays a commission, which may be a one-time payment per registered player, a share of net revenue over time, or a combination of both.
The destination of every link is the official operator website. Tracking parameters are appended to the URL but do not redirect through any third-party domain or change where you end up.
What this means for our assessments
The affiliate relationship creates a potential conflict of interest: if we only earn from operators we review positively, there is an incentive to be generous. This is an honest description of how affiliate publishing works.
Our approach to managing this: the scores and written assessments are based on fixed criteria applied consistently to all operators. The criteria — UKGC licence quality, game range, live casino, mobile quality, game studios, welcome offer type, customer support, usability — are defined before any operator is assessed. We do not accept payment for higher scores, guaranteed positive coverage, or preferred placement.
We include only UKGC-licensed operators. An operator cannot be added to the comparison without a current, verifiable UKGC licence.
Commission does not equal endorsement
Being listed on Play Review Bureau and carrying an affiliate link is not an endorsement beyond what the score and written content say. Lower-scoring operators appear with affiliate links because comparison requires them to be included — a score of 6.5 reflects a below-average assessment, regardless of the commercial relationship.
